Por fin podremos disfrutar en Bilbao de la actuación de este nombre fundamental en la historia del UK Dub. Dub Judah es multiinstrumentista, cantante y productor, bajista de Twinkle Brothers, cabeza del sello Dub Jockey y autor de clásicos del género como “Babylon Is A Trap”, “Better To Be Good” y muchos otros. A todo ello hay que añadir sus constantes colaboracionbes con grandes nombres como Jah Shaka, Mad Professor, Gussie P, Aba Shanti, etc

Dub Judah, born Christopher George, emerged as a prominent figure in the reggae music scene, renowned for his distinctive sound and unwavering commitment to the roots reggae tradition. His journey from humble beginnings to international acclaim is a testament to his talent, perseverance, and dedication to his craft.

He was born in the vibrant city of London, England, in the late 1960s. Growing up in a culturally diverse environment, he was exposed to various musical genres from an early age. However, it was reggae music that captured his heart and soul. Influenced by legendary artists such as Bob Marley, Burning Spear, and Dennis Brown, Dub Judah found inspiration in the powerful messages and infectious rhythms of reggae music.


The rise

Dub Judah’s musical journey began in the late 1980s when he immersed himself in London’s reggae scene. He honed his skills as a singer, songwriter, and producer, drawing from his deep-rooted passion for reggae music. Even now in 2024 Dub Judahs’ works speak loudly and the quality of the work released continues, the latest release being “Best Foot Forward”, a collaboration with Kibir La Amlak on the Before Zero label, and of course released as a vinyl EP.


In addition to his solo work, Dub Judah remained active as a collaborator and producer, working with both established and up-and-coming artists within the reggae community. Well respected

Dub Judah is a well-respected vocalist, musician, live performer and producer who has released his own roots music on his Dub Jockey label. He also works producing singing and playing with other established artists such as Norman Grant of the Twinkle Brothers. He does occasionally perform live shows with his own band and is continually working in his own studio and different studios, where he is in great demand as a producer.
